Javier G. Hernandez Gonzalez
Javier was Oklahoma’s first undocumented attorney. Javier was born in Mexico City, MX. Being raised in Oklahoma City, he deeply cares for the people in his community.
During law school, Javier served as President of the Hispanic Law Student Association, participated in the Dean’s Council on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality, and was a member of the Immigration Legal Society. Javier graduated in 2018 with honors from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Javier is an advocate for education, immigrant rights, and futbol—serving on boards like the Dove Charter Public Schools Foundation, the Wes Welker Foundation, Dream Action Oklahoma, and is a founder of the Mas Futbol Foundation. During his spare time Javier enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, soccer, and cycling.
Jarvis M. De León
Jarvis M. De León is a first-generation Guatemalan American born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Prior to joining Javier G. Hernández, PLLC, he worked at FFH, a preeminent Oklahoma law firm, where his practice focused on claimant workers’ compensation, employment, and general civil legal matters.
After high school, Jarvis continued his education at Southern Nazarene University on a soccer scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science.
During law school, Jarvis served as President of the Hispanic Law Student Association, President of the Immigration Legal Society, and as a member of the Oklahoma City University Hispanic Law Journal – La Prensa. He also interned with the Carter and Cleveland County District Attorneys’ Offices and the Oklahoma County Juvenile Public Defender’s Office. Jarvis graduated in 2024 and the Faculty Honor Roll, and was awarded the Pro Bono Service Award from the Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor.
Jarvis co-founded the Guatemaltecos en Oklahoma Association and served as its Vice President, dedicating himself to building a stronger, more connected community. When he’s not focused on community and professional work, he enjoys running, playing soccer, and sharing time with friends and family.
